Rim Rock is one of Driftwood’s newest neighborhoods. With one acre lots and homes built from 2006 to today, Rim Rock is attracts buyers looking for large lots, but who don’t want to give up the “neighborhood” feel. Rim Rock is divided into three sections, or phases. The first section and the section closest to Austin, is where you’ll find the custom homes. Lots are available for purchase and buyers can choose which builder they want to build a custom home. This area is the most unique and least uniform of all the section. Rim Rock is located off FM 1826 just south of Nutty Brown Road. The neighborhood has three entrances, one to each of its 3 phases. The easiest access can be found at Arbor Canyon Pass from FM 1826. Rim Rock is shaded on the map below. The map is interactive, so feel free to use it to explore the area.

Children who live in Driftwood’s Rim Rock neighborhood are served by the Recognized Dripping Springs ISD and will likely attend the following schools:
- Walnut Springs Elementary School – Exemplary
- Dripping Springs Middle School – Recognized
- Dripping Springs High School – Recognized
